As is our practice, a vote was held during the business meeting at the Branson gathering in 2018 selecting the next reunion destination. Out of several options, including two in the DC area, the members selected the Westin Washington Dulles in Northern Virginia, about 30 minutes from downtown Washington, D.C.

The dates are October 14 through October 18 and we have planned what we hope will be another successful reunion. Because there are so many historical and tourist-related activities in the area, we scheduled two full days of tours, including a tour of the US Capitol and the memorial service in the Washington DC Navy Yard. We couldn’t include all that there is to see and to during our short time together, so you are encouraged to take advantage of fact that the hotel is offering the discounted room rate three days before and after the reunion. Go see Mount Vernon, the home of George Washington, the National Cathedral, started in 1907 and completed in 1990, the Udvar Hazy extension of the Air and Space Museum which is just down the road from the hotel as well as many, many other sites.

We have engaged the services of a reunion planning company, A Complete Reunion, to manage the event for us. As well as arranging the tours, working with the hotel to get the best room rates, food prices, etc., they will also provide an on-site coordinator who will take care of checking folks into the reunion, act as the photographer and generally make life easier for the reunion committee. The reunion registration form can be found in the printed newsletter you’ll be receiving in the near future, included with this announcement or by visiting www.acompletereunion.com. The deadline for registration for both hotel and reunion is September 11. Beyond that date, there will be a $15 per person late registration fee in addition to the regular fee of $30 per person for the reunion. Hotel rooms will be on a space-available basis, banquet choices may be limited as we will have already provided them with our numbers so they can order food and bus seats may not be available as we will have already given them our needs.
