We wish to take a moment and acknowledge those Shipmates that are involved in various community service activities. Individuals and groups featured on this page do not receive any financial support for their community service from the association. We extend our heart felt thanks to these folks, and a Bravo Zulu for their efforts.
Richard Molck:
Richard does many different things throughout the year. On Veterans Day and
Memorial Day Richard visits a couple of local cemeteries and places US Flags on
the graves of veterans. Richard also takes the time to do a little cleanup
around the cemetery while he is there. To see some pictures of Richards Cemetery

Richard Molck and Rob Bennett:
Richard and Rob worked in conjunction with 112 Sewing Supplies from Patchogue,
New York to supply our troops in Iraq with handmade Christmas stockings. Many
people donated their time and effort to not only make the Christmas stockings
but to fill them with personal items for the troops to use. Several local
schools donated supplies and the students wrote Christmas greetings to the
soldiers. Rob collected the stockings and shipped them to Richard. Richard, who
also collected Christmas stockings and supplies, then shipped the packages to
the troops in Iraq. Over 500 lbs of Christmas stockings and goodies were shipped
to the troops. We hope that this effort in some way helped to encourage and
cheer our soldiers serving our country.
